Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have just bought the laptop. I have noticed that the fan that has side vent - the right one from the upper view - is not working at all. I have read some threads here in the community and the responses were that the fan operates in the lowest possible speed whenever the condition is not critical. but, in my case the fan is not rotating at all.

any help ? and is there any test method to force the fan to rotate instead of downloading game to make load ?

your response is highly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Hello @10_Mumin_01

Most likely, if you're trying to feel the wind from the vent, you might not. The gpu fan doesnt run near as fast as the CPU fan on HP laptops. But with that model, you should be able to flip it over while its on and see the fans turning through the bottom vents.

You can run a benchmark tool like Unigen's Superposition to ramp things up and see if the fan turns.

Here is the direct download to make things easier... https://assets.unigine.com/d/Unigine_Superposition-1.1.exe

In the Omen Game Hub, you should have a setting under the Performance Tab to manually adjust the fan set to high. You should be able to determine if the fan is blowing or not that way also.

While the program Speed Fan is not exactly accurate on an HP, it should show you if the fans are turning or not.

Bottom line, if the unit is brand new and not working properly, take it back to the store you purchased from. Or contact HP Support directly for a warranty issue. Contact HP Worldwide | HP® Official Site
