LaserJet CP1025nw, Windows 7

A custom paper size can be created in either the printing preferences within the printer or in the page setup in Word 2010.  I added a custom size with its own name and later realized the size was incorrect.  The new size appears in the drop-down menus and I would like to remove it.

How does one remove any of the paper sizes for this printer in Windows 7?

Thanks!

Hi darbfred,

You will be unable to delete any paper size which was not created by you as a custom size.

Hi darbfred,

Follow the instructions below to delete custom paper size.

1. Open printer folder

2. Right click on the printer, and select Print Preferences

3. Click on the Paper/Quality tab

4. Select the custom paper size you want to delete from Size is

5. Click on the Custom button, and then click on Delete button

Here's what happens:

The page size I created (or thought I did - perhaps it's a preset size?) is 5.0 x 8.0.  All steps are executed until Step 5.  After selecting the "custom" button, there is no delete button.  Where you have the red box around "delete" what I see is "save" and under "name" is "untitled."  When that box is selected, the remainder of the drop-down menu is blank.

So now I'm wondering...is 5.0 x 8.0 a preset size?  And, if so, how can this or other preset sizes be deleted?  There are several sizes I will never use.

Thanks for your continued assistance.

How is this done for an OfficeJet 6500 on Windows 7?  The Custom Paper Size dialog does not show the existing sizes, let alone allow them to be deleted.
