@mlessard50

Thank you for posting regarding your error 79. If this issue has not been resolved, please refer to the following document : HP LaserJet 3050, 3052, 3055, 3390 and 3392 AiO Series Products - Critical Error Messages, for more information on your particular error message.

Below is the specific information on the 79 error. Please try this and see if it resovles your issue.

79 Error Turn off then on
The all-in-one has experienced an internal firmware error.
Turn off the power by using the power switch, wait at least 30 seconds, and then turn on the power and wait for the all-in-one to initialize.
If you have recently installed a memory DIMM in the HP LaserJet 3390/3392 all-in-one, turn off the all-in-one, remove the memory DIMM, reinstall the DIMM to verify that it is seated properly, and then turn on the all-in-one.
If a surge protector is being used, remove it. Plug the all-in-one directly into the wall socket. Use the power switch to turn the all-in-one on.
If the error persists, contact HP Customer Care.

Turning power off/on did not clear the error. After power cycling, printer said "Printing Document" then Error 79 re-appeared without printing.  What finally cleared the error was a "NVRAM init" (Power on while holding down * and Enter buttons).  I also had to delete the unprinted file in the spooler queue on my PC - apparently there was something in that PDF file that caused the printer error.

Yes - mine was resolved by deleting the item in the print queue.

That worked thank you
