Product: laserjet 1020
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Laserjet 1020 has been printing a llight gray vertical area top to bottom about 2-1/2 inches from the left edge of the paper. Does the printer need clkeaning? How can I fix this?

Sounds like you have a defective toner cartridge needed to be replaced.

If you check the drum on the cartridge you will find a circle of toner on the surface of drum.

Replace it.
