is it safe to use the Poly software update site to move from the last link below (3.4) up to 3.7? or should I continue using the specific swupdate URLs? I assume I can find the exact version numbers in the release notes to determine each URL beyond 3.4 ?

Hello @Refractis
I am not sure what your question is. You can just choose Poly hosted Server and the latest Software is downloaded.

Steffen,
I bought an ex-demo unit and when it arrived it was on 3.1.1-216122. I tried the Poly server - it wouldn't work: I got the authentication error. I tried to update from FAT32 USB stick - it wouldn't work, it didn't recognise the stick at all.
I found your very helpful list of custom URLs and went through each on in turn... but the list runs out at v3.4 and I wanted to get to 3.7.
So then once at 3.4 I changed the update server to the Poly hosted server and it successfully upgraded to 3.7.
Next I'll need to upgrade the TC8, but have to wait for the POE injector to arrive before I can tackle that !! Will it upgrade to 3.7 automatically once paired?

@Refractis you may want to search the community for any issues from 3.4 to 3.7 - the issue originally posted to this discussion was jumping to 3.2 from an earlier version.

Hello @Refractis ,
Your post ended up in the Spam Filter so I moved this here.
For 3.1.1 you most likely need to go to 3.2 or 3.2.3 first and then further. For the TC8 it should download the latest but you may want to wait.
The current list:

@atardio your instructions helped, but does ommit certain instructions
Please note that you will need WinZip to unzip the file, as the built-in Windows compression tool will not be able to.
For me, the step "Once you plug it into the x30 it will begin the update in 30 seconds" did not happen. It just wanted to auto-update again.
Here are the correct steps:
- Download the software from Poly for your device: Here are the previous versions for the x30
- Extract the tar.gz file using WinZip and copy the exact folder/file structure to a FAT32 USB
The correct update steps can be found at: https://documents.polycom.com/bundle/polyvideomode-ag-3-2-0/page/t1489762.html
- Save the package to the root directory of a USB flash drive and unzip the file.To successfully update everything, you must have this exact folder structure:
- eecube
- Config
- image.zip
- version
- videocodec
- Config
- poly-video-<version>.zip
- release.json
- version
- ipmic
- Config
- image.zip
- version
- micadapter
- Config
- image.zip
- version
- touchctrl
- Config
- poly-tc8-<version>.zip
- version
- release.json
- softwareupdate.cfg
- eecube
- Connect the USB flash drive to a USB port on the back of the system. If the system detects the USB flash drive, a prompt displays on the monitor to confirm that you want to update the software.
The update will start automatically.
- After the update had completed, plug out the Memory Stick
- After the upgrade to 3.2 just repeat to 3.4, either via running the update online or via the memory stick again.
