Hi @Panda2311

go to the device manager, then click on Sound, video and game controllers, uninstall the Realtek driver, it will ask if you want to remove the software, check the box, accept and then restart the device, then install the next sound driver.

I have a HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dy0xxx with the same problem basically.  I have no listing in Device Manager for anything Audio.  My system says "no audio device installed" so I am suspecting that my audio board has died.  I have spent hours going through the many suggestions with no success.  I even had Microsoft on the line but, again, no success.  Does anyone know if I can replace the audio board is it integrated?  Looking for any further information pleeeeease!

I have the same problem, this has been the case since update done on 9/5/24. I have tried everything I can find on the internet and these forums, nothing has worked. Continues to say "No audio device is installed" and there is nothing under the sounds tab of device manager except my headphones (which do work, but I would like to be able to use the computer speakers). This seems to be a problem for many people the past couple of weeks. I have minimal computer knowledge, so if there is any simple help I would be happy to hear it. Thanks

I figured that the Audio Card had failed because it wouldn't load up and didn't appear in Device Manager and no amount of searching would find it.  I also found that the Audio Card is integrated which involves a complete mainboard replacement. I ended up straining the budget and purchased a new HP laptop for $800.  No audio problems now.
