Will replacing the hard drive fix my problem?

I have a "boot device not found" and "hard disk - (3F0)" error. When I run the both the quick and extensive diagnostics test for the hard drive, I get "not available". 

I assume the hard drive has either failed or, if the laptop has optane memory, that has failed.

1.  Does this laptop model have Optane memory?

2.  If so, how can I tell if it is the hard drive that has failed or the optane memory?

3. Either way, will replacing the hard drive fix the problem?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.  

Yes, 3F0 is a hard drive, or the connector faulty.

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer. 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty.
