Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

My wife dug up an older laptop and wants to use it for email/games/browsing, but, it is VERY slow. It only has 4 GB of RAM, and wanted to see if it could support a larger RAM chip. Does anyone know if I could replace the one 4GB RAM with an 8 or 16GB upgrade?  Thanks in advance!

@WhiteCollrNomad,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

Unfortunately, the 4GB RAM you got is the max this legacy laptop can be fitted with.

For all intents and purposes, this laptop is no longer usable for anything but the most basic of tasks.  And maybe not even that.

My advice: retire it and look for something newer.  If you are on a budget, look in eBay for a good number of great (laptop/PC) deals.
