HP Recommended

Made a rookie mistake today and spilled coffee all over my laptop. Laptop didn’t turn off immediately but I ended up powering it off and now it won’t turn back on. Battery light stays orange for a few seconds before briefly turning off then flashing white and then repeating, what does this mean and how screwed am I?

I am not going to lie. It's not good. A technician would disassemble and try cleaning the motherboard with alcohol and thoroughly dry everything for a couple days before reassembling and trying to power on. Stop trying to turn it on or connecting the AC adapter. You have probably shorted the motherboard and need to replace the laptop, however.
