Hi , greetings from Greece. Lately i had the need for a laptop for the university and i found a HP 620 in my house. Right now im only using it in order to remote control my main pc but it is slow everything is stock from the factory except from the hard drive that i changed for an SSD. I nee help choosing the right ddr3 ram speed and possibly a new processor. But i can't spend a lot of money on these upgrades which makes the upgrade of the ram easier. The only thing that scares me is how well the new ram will work with the stock CPU. Thank you for your time.

Hi:
Unfortunately, I can't offer a direct answer without knowing more information about your notebook.
That is because the service manual indicates two chipsets were offered in the model series depending on the processor it currently has installed.
Please let me know what processor your notebook has and also run the free HWINFO utility at the link below (I like to use the portable version) and let me know what chipset it has.
Free Download HWiNFO Sofware | Installer & Portable for Windows, DOS
The service manual indicates that regardless of the chipset it has, the notebook only supports 2 x 2 GB of DDR3-1333 MHz memory.
You need a 2 GB 2Rx8 PC3-10600 memory chip.
Something like this:
