Hello,

I just bought a Ram 2Gb and when I opened my notebook ... Oh ... one slot used and no more for my new Ram.

So my question is: Is there a way to add a slot to motherboard?

Or

Anyone need to buy two 2Gb Ram 10600 1333MHz ?:p A 4Gb is not so cheap 😞

Thanks for your help,

Jérôme

Thanks for your help 🙂

I have 4Gb for the moment and I would like to add my new 2Gb Ram but I only have one slot free (busy by another 2Gb Ram added by HP)

Is there a way to add a second slot?

I have 4Gb 8540p

I get a 2Gb Ram that I wanted to add.

But when i opened my laptop, there were only one slot and is not free (there was already a 2Gb Ram there)

So I have 2x 2Gb in my laptop.

And i bought a new Ram for nothing 😞

Hope you understand 🙂

I know that there are two possibilities 2 or 4 slots available for 8540p

I certainly have a 2 slots

I open the "Memory module compartment" and I have only one slot available (busy)

So with the integrated 2Gb of my version of 8540p and the 2Gb added by HP there are 2slots 😞

I believe that 2 slots meaning that 2Gb integrated + 2 slots free

HP Recommended

okay then...

you have 2 slots only and and RAM installed on both of them..  2GB + 2GB total 4 GB..

ryt...

Yes and you said that it's not possible to add a slot 😞 (I have many place for Ram snif)

Thanks for your help, I need to sell my 2x 2Gb Ram and buy a 4Gb 😛

Bye

Unfortunatly it is not possible to add slots.. 😞

so you can go ahead and purchase a 4 GB module...

trade your 2 GB with someone.. 😉
