I have a HP Pavilion 15-b142dx  I am   working on   only problem I have is unable to test it as I see the power adapter I have from a HP dv6700 will not fit seems the barrel is to short as the power jack socket is way in side 

 

what is the type I need as I looked at the HP 15 series and shows some numbers but all look wring

 

The power jack number is CBL00326-0075   is that helps

If you are a tech, all you need is an adjustable power supply set to 3.33a and 19.5vdc.  Solder a wire to a place on the system board where + voltage comes in and another one to a suitable ground.  That is my method.

 

The required power adapter for the laptop part number is  693715-001

 

The specifications of the required power adapter are 19,5V / 3,33A / 65W   

 

The barrel connector is 4.8mm * 1.7 mm Slim Long Black Pin

No would prefer the power adapter looking by numbers is this what it should look like 

 

they also associate these numbers with it HP 693715-001 677770-001 677770-002 613149-001 PPP09C

Output: 19.5v-3.33A
Power: 65W
Connector Size: 4.8mm*1.7mm
