Hello, can I install 2 Corsair Vengeance, 8GB DDR4, 2400MHz CL16 or 2 Kingston FURY Impact, 8GB DDR4, 2666MHz CL15 on HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec0001nq? Thanks 🙂

Hi:

 

It is generally not a good idea to install faster speed memory that what HP installed because there is no way to manually adjust the memory timing in the BIOS.

 

So, you have to hope the notebook will automatically make those adjustments, or the PC will not boot up.

 

The memory HP installs is DDR4-2400 CL17 or DDR4-2666 CL19, or DDR4-3200 CL22.

 

If you can return the memory in the event it doesn't work, give either a try if you want.

 

Otherwise buy the memory with the standard CL for the speed as I wrote above.
