Hello support. We have a very nice HP Envy that has been gently used, never abused, never dropped, adult owned. It is most likely out of warranty but... The left hinge has come loose and when we tried to open it last night, it completely let go and the screen cracked upon opening. Very frustrating considering its age. This appears to be a well known issue. Are you offering repairs for this manufacturing defect? Or could you send a new screen\digitizer and hinge and I will fix it myself? Please advise, thanks so much!

After reading so many other posts online and here on this site from people who have experienced this same broken hinge issue and tried to reach out to HP. I don't think I will get anywhere asking for your company to repair my computer. Maybe, your public relations could at least offer a generous discount on a new HP if we were to consider another? Is that a fair? Please be in touch, thanks!

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
I understand your HP notebook hinge is separating from the unit, in order to fix this issue your computer needs to be repaired. As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now. I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the out of warranty repair options.
