i want to upgrade my ram from 8 gb to 16 gb, so i would like to know how much Mhz can my laptop support. My inbuilt ram was 8 gb ddr4 3200 Mhz i guess, so does this mean my laptop can only support 3200 Mhz, and also suggest me which ram should i purchase

Yes 3200 is the maximum frequency, you can use the one indicated by Crucial or use other brands if you wish, it is only necessary that they are DDR4-3200 of 1.2 volts.

Crucial, Kingston, Hynix, Samsung are brands that work with HP you can use those brands if you wish. HP support on these brands.
