Hello, I have an HP Victus 16-r1055nt (9J257EA) model and I would like to know if there is an extra M.2 slot to add an additional SSD.

Hi:

 

Since your notebook has an Intel Core i7-14700HX processor, it does have support for two M.2 NVMe SSD.

 

Below is the link to the service manual:

 

Maintenance and Service Guide Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PCModel numbers: 16-r0xxx

 

The models with the Intel 'H' series processors only have support for one M.2 NVMe SSD.

You're very welcome.

 

The PC supports Gen 4.0 NVMe SSDs.

 

According to the Crucial memory/SSD report you can install NVMe SSDs up to 4 TB and the notebook supports 2 x 32 GB of DDR5-5600MHz memory.

I'd go with the Crucial memory in the amount you want to install.

 

I think 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) should be enough, but that's up to you.

 

For a SSD, I recommend a Samsung 980 Pro or the newer Samsung 990 Pro.

 

Otherwise, the Crucial T500.
