Microsoft Windows 11

Hello all!

I have a HP 15t-dy200 laptop and wanted to upgrade my storage with a 1 TB crucial T500 pro PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSd. I copied my important files to an external drive and successfully installed the SSD into my laptop. I also created Windows 11 installation media on another external drive beforehand. When I tried to install Windows 11 using the installation media, the installation media scanned for drives but my newly installed SSD did not show up. I tried a number of things to fix this, including installing some drivers, reinstalling in case of connection issues, and checking settings in BIOS. However, nothing worked and I am currently unable to install Windows 11 on my new SSD. Any solution to get my laptop to recognize the SSD, or another way I can get it set up would be greatly appreciated.

Hi:

You probably need to install the Intel storage controller drivers when you are at the screen where Windows cannot find any drives to install on.

I zipped up and attached the Intel storage controller drivers below.

The attached file is good for both W10 & W11.

Copy all of the files in both folders in the attached file to a USB flash drive.

Have the flash drive and your Windows installation media plugged into USB ports.

Boot from the Windows installation flash drive.

When you get to the screen where no drives can be found, click on the Load driver option, browse to the flash drive with the storage controller drivers on it.

If you check the box, it will only include the compatible driver.

Click Next, and Windows should install.
