OS for my laptop is Windows 11 24H2. When I open the camera app, I get 0xa00f4244 no cameras are attached. When I search through the drivers, no camera related drivers are found. It's like a camera was never installed on the laptop but it was there previously, and I have used it. I have tried every troubleshooting technique, but nothing works.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with the webcam on your Laptop.

Please follow the below steps to fix the issue.
-Perform a power drain on your PC.
1) Unplug the power cord from the PC & wall.
2) Disconnect the power cable from the AC adapter if it is a detachable part and keep it aside.
3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the AC adapter, then connect it to the wall and to the charging port on your PC.
5) Power on the PC and wait for the PC to boot into Windows now.
-Update the BIOS for your PC by clicking on the link.

Hi Irwin,
Thank you for your help. Please note, however, that I have tried all these steps before and tried them again now and they did not help. There is not even a section for cameras in Device Manager, almost as if the driver for one was never installed, except that it was. Last time i remembered it working was 2023. Sometime in 2024 it stopped and I did not notice as I had no need for it at the time. As per the image below, the laptop does not recognize any attached cameras as apparently there is no longer one. If I can get a camera driver to download and install, I think that may help, although I do not even know which one was installed initially. Thanks again for your help.
