My partner is buying the HP-T250BT in Japan before returning to Australia. They charge using USB-C. Do I need to buy and use a wall adaptor, or can I use a more local USB-C cable?

You can use standard USB-C cable to charge ịt Bu the way, from its specs it has cable included, you can use that cable to charge it from a normal adapter which comes with your phone, tablet or even from your computer. No fancy.
