I own hp laptop HP Notebook - 15-bs542tu
Which was quite old and I want to upgrade SSD in in
Motherboard M2 X3 slot since it looks like it is of NVMe
But please confirm is it of NVMe or SATA

No, your notebook's M.2 slot only supports SATA M.2 SSDs as is indicated in chapter 1 of the service manual.
