Hello.
I wonder if there's any BIOS updates for my HP Compaq Presario CQ61-330SS.
The current version of the BIOS is InsydeH20 V14.

Hi:
Yes, if you go to your notebook's driver page at the link below, there is a BIOS update version F.23.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with a problem like that.
Google it and see what you can find.
The other thing you can try to rule out the actual BIOS file is corrupt, would be to try installing the previous version which is F.21:

You can download Micrsoft Edge for W7 at the link below.
Since the BIOS updates were only written to be run on W7, you might be taking a risk trying to update the BIOS in a newer operating system.

I don't know what to tell you.
I can download and run the F.23 file on my Dell Optiplex 7050 MT desktop PC that is running W11, and it works just fine.
Same for F.21.
Of course, I cancel out after it runs.
I'd say the problem is with Windows on your notebook.
Google the error and see if you can find an answer.
I have proven the files are not corrupt.

I run the file, and a window opens and asks me if I want to continue with the BIOS update.
Of course I canceled out of the program at that point.
I'm not going to run a BIOS update that was not written for my Dell desktop.
That's what I mean.
