Hello,
Has anyone else had issues with firmware updates and the update occurring while they're hooked to a docking station? I've noticed that we have had about 5, we're less than 200 people, where a firmware update, so like the 1.7.1.0 for example from the Windows Updates, is pushed to the device, we restart, but the issue has shown that it gets stuck on step 3, updating the USB-C Controllers. The caveat to this is that we use WavLink universal docks and the issue has primarily happened to those who have had their PC plugged in. Is this a known issue with HPs? Could it be a WavLink doc issue? We can always force shut the computer down, it boots fine, and in all the logs I check, it says the firmware update applied. Was looking to see if anyone else has ran into this.
Thanks.

Hi,
yes, we've got the same issue with BIOS/Firmware update 1.7.1.0 deploying via Intune/Windows Updates.
Either there is an error message (Intel Thunderbolt Retimer Firmware Update failed) while updating or it´s updating properly, but after finishing the update, the SuperSpeed USB-C isn't working anymore.
In some cases a Power-Reset helped to run the Thunderbolt port at least.
But this Firmware update is defenitely breaking the USB-C ports.
Also tried to update every driver update, without success.
