Specified memory is DDR3-1333 SO-DIMM. The memory you ask about is DDR3L-1600. The L means the memory you ask about is 1.35 volt memory. The specified DDR3-1333 is 1.5 volt. DDR3L CAN operate at 1.5 volts and I can say it will probably work for you but these first and second generation Intel Core HP laptops can be very finicky about memory. You would be best to install a specified module compatible with this HP Part Number: 634091-001. But the memory you ask about is commonly offered by memory sellers as a replacement for the specified HP modules. As I said, "probably".
