My right sift key is not working. I made some changes to the keyboard settings and it quite working. I thought I changed them all back, but it's still not functioning. And yes, I've updated and rebooted.

Hi @poe315,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like the changes made to the keyboard settings might have affected the functionality of your right shift key. Let's try a few steps to fix it.
Check Keyboard Layout Settings:
- Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language > Keyboard.
- Make sure the layout is set to the correct one for your region (e.g., US QWERTY).
- If it's correct, try switching to another layout and then back to see if that resets it.
Keyboard Troubleshooter:
- Open Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Scroll down and select Keyboard, then run the troubleshooter to see if it can detect any issues.
Reinstall Keyboard Driver:
- Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Keyboards section, right-click your keyboard driver, and choose Uninstall device.
- Restart your laptop. Windows will reinstall the keyboard driver automatically.
Check Sticky Keys Settings:
- Go to Settings > Ease of Access > Keyboard.
- Ensure Sticky Keys is turned off as it can sometimes cause issues with modifier keys like Shift.
Reset Keyboard Settings:
- You can try resetting the keyboard settings by going to Control Panel > Ease of Access > Ease of Access Center.
- Click on Make the keyboard easier to use and ensure all options are set to Off (e.g., Sticky Keys, Filter Keys).
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
