I would like to increase storage capacity on my HP Pavilion 15-cb009np laptop. I asked a friend and, since I would prefer to keep the current one, he told me to check if it had two SSD slots so I could install another one. However, I cannot find this information anywhere, or maybe I didn't realize I found it. At the moment, my laptop has the default 256 GB PCle NVMe M.2 SSD.
I would appreciate if someone could answer my question, or tell me the best way to achieve my goal.
Thank you very much!

Hi @leo240
It has a slot for 2.5” HDD or SSD but you must buy the cable separately, I leave the part number for you to do a search on the internet, my recommendation is to change the current M.2 NVMe disk for a larger 1TB, 2TB or more.
The hard drive cable is available using spare part number 926874-001

Hello @resistencia
Thank you for your reply, I really appreciate it!
Following your suggestion to change my current SSD for a higher storage one, what are the advantages of it compared to installing a second disk? Are there performance related aspects or is it just cheaper?
Thank you for you reply, once again.

well the first thing is the temperature, put another disk will increase the temperature, secondly the laptop will weigh more although they are 200 gr in the end makes a difference and finally to have a NVMew disk, and another SATA and copy for example files will be slower and of course the price you will pay for the disk and cable will probably be higher than exchanging for a larger NVME.
