My laptop had 8GB of RAM by default. I bought one 8gb card so that the built-in graphics card would use it as video memory. But it still uses 512mb. Is it possible to specify in the bios that the graphic card should use 2gb of RAM, for example?

Unfortunately, that would not be possible.

The onboard AMD graphics adapter uses 512 GB of dedicated system memory and that cannot be increased.

What may happen is that by adding additional memory an increased amount of shared system memory may go to the onboard graphics if needed.

This link will show you how much dedicated system memory and how much shared system memory that can be automatically allocated to the graphics adapter.

How to Check Graphics Card Video Memory (VRAM) Size on Windows 10 PC (tunecomp.net)

For example, when I use the first method to find that information, my Nvidia GT730 desktop PC GPU has 4 GB of dedicated memory and 28 GB of available shared memory that could go to support the GPU.

My PC has 48 GB of system memory
