Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, i have a Hp 15 AK112NL
I'm considering purchasing a SSD M.2 on which to run the operating system and a couple of software.
The 1Tb mechanical disk would store it as storage.

Exactly this model

http://www.corsair.com/it-it/force-series-mp500-240gb-m-2-ssd

Alternatively this model

http://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/product/consumer/960evo.html

My question is as follows:

Does my model have enabled and working the port to run SSD M.2?

Thanks so much

Yours sincerely
Andrea

Hello @imejopitbul84,

Thank you for your reply !!!

Your PC will not support NvME Type SSD beacuse the interface is a PCI

Your PC will support only SATA SSD's

Hello!

Just want to report my experience  with my Pavilion Gaming ak112nl.

I installed a SATA M.2 SSD (Toshiba), and it works fine. At full load it reaches 54°C temperature, which is not too bad, even if I would be happier with SSDs running at mx 50°C.

I also tried a Western Digital Blue (Sandisk) and it run ok.

Remember, to be sure that it work, just use SATA M.2 SSD.

Cheers!

Did you install a 500GB M.2 ssd or a 256GB?
