HP Notebook - 17-by2019ds
Microsoft Windows 11

I’m upgrading my RAM from  2x8=16gb up to

2x 16=32gb which I don’t have a problem with. I’m also upgrading the

128gb SSD up to a 1tb SSD

Product info (Crucial- P3 Plus 1TB Internal SSD PCIe Gen 4 x4 NVMe)

my question here is, I already have my USB bootable disc device made from the upgraded Windows 11 I just loaded with 365 and so on.
MY QUESTION IS: DO I NEED TO CHANGE THE BIOS BEFORE I INSTALL THE NEW PARTS IN ORDER TO START UP IN THE CORRECT ORDER???

Unfortunately, since your notebook has an Intel Celeron N4020 processor, NVMe SSD's are not supported.

HP PartSurfer

Here is an eBay listing of your PC's motherboard part number from the above parts list link:

Note the one memory slot.

For HP LAPTOP 17-BY L94470-001 L88199-001 Intel Celeron N4020 Motherboard UMA | eBay

If your notebook already has 16 GB of memory installed, then it is 1 x 16 GB, and you are at the maximum.

If you want to install a larger capacity SSD you will need a M.2 SATA SSD such as this:

Also, your notebook only has one memory slot and according to the service manual, the slot only supports 1 x 8 GB of memory.

Amazon.com: Western Digital 1TB WD Blue SA510 SATA Internal Solid State Drive SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/s,...

Below is the link to the service manual:

HP 17 Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide

You might be able to install 1 x 16 GB of memory if you run this command and the max memory report is 33,xxx,xxx.

The report will pick up the info from the non-existent second memory slot.

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.

This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.

There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

You should just have to install the memory and new drive.  Plug and play.
