What's the suitable ram module for the HP 15s-eq2083ur? It has an additional ram slot, but I find it hard to get any detailed specifications about which modules would fit this product. And also how much is the MAX RAM capacity this laptop can have?

Hi:

 

Below is the link to the product specs for your notebook.

 

HP Laptop 15s-eq2083ur Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

 

It should be able to support a max of 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-3200 memory.

 

You can also do this to determine what the maximum amount of memory you can install in your notebook is...

 

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator. This will open the command prompt.

 

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacity and hit enter. There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

 

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

 

This would be a compatible 8 GB memory bar for your notebook...

 

Crucial 8GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM | CT8G4SFRA32A | Crucial.com

 

This would be a compatible 16 GB memory bar for your notebook...

 

Crucial 16GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM | CT16G4SFRA32A | Crucial.com

 

HP only has the service manual for the older model series but it may be of help to you for how to open up the notebook to replace the memory...
