HP Notebook - 15-af101np (ENERGY STAR)

Hello,

Which external DVR drive is the most suitable for my laptop? The internal drive failed.

The laptop has one usb A 3.0 port.

I have  found 2 HP products:  F6V97AA and F6V97AA

I have tried a Gembird DVR drive and doesn´t work, and is connected to the usb 3 port.

Thank you

The internal drive of your laptop is not a DVR. It is a Supermulti DVD burner, which is also known as a DVD rewriter.

"I have found 2 HP products: F6V97AA and F6V97AA"

Either of those will work.

Any mainstream external USB DVD rewriter drive will work.

examples are at the link below.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

But I have bought a Gembird and doesn´t work. Maybe if I buy a HP external DVR writer,  will work.

Probably replacing the internal DVR writer for a new identical one, is the best option, since I know it works for sure.

But I am not sure if it is available.

What do you think?

Thank you

In my opinion, the most practical and economic solution would be to purchase and use an external USB DVD/CD rewriter drive.
