I currently have NVIDIA MX130 GDDR5 4GB with Intel Core i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80 GHZ. Would it be possible to upgrade my GPU by changing the motherboard and if so, what would be the best graphics card I could get?

Yes, you can buy new System boards listed on page 56 of the following manual:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06140017.pdf
Did you know you have to buy
(a) Motherboard,
(b) CPU / Processor
(c) dGPU,
(d) New Windows license (you can't reuse old license)
Because all 4 above components are on one piece of hardware called system board.
Regards.
