Hello,
in order to disable an ati video chip on the motherboard of my laptop hp g72 b52sf i flashed my bios with an unlocked one because the original one doesn't have the advanced tab that normally allow to disable the dgpu in the video configuration.
The original bios was sp55430 f.48 and has not the advanced tab, so i used a modded one which now had this tab.
But each time i modify the configuration , replacing "hybrid" by "igpu", after saving with "f10" and rebooting the system, the modification was lost; the video configuration returned to "hybrid".
i need to disable this ati chip because systematically booting the system finished with a bsod blue-screen with an error of the driver of the amd h5000....in the atikmpag.sys file.
Hoping that somebody can give me some advice in order to solve this problem, thank you in advance for your answer.

Try the AMD driver listed on page 2
but read the warning first.
if windows reports that a better driver is already installed you will have to force the install
You may have to use 7.zip to unpack that window 7 driver so you can get access to the INF file.
just a guess: Change the date or time slightly in the BIOS before pressing F10 as possibly F10 does not know about the advanced options and does not bother updating the CMOS as it thinks nothing changed.
WARNING: THE ARCHIVE SITES BELOW ARE NOT HP AND PROBABLY HAVE UNWANTED SOFTWARE THAT WILL DOWNLOAD IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL
The following two sites have software for older systems that might not be available at HP. The driverscollection site is recommended more than the .eu one. Do not download any "driver downloader" or "updater". Please examine the buttons to ensure they download the actual driver and not a driver helper. Do not click on any advertisements or any page that has the word "AD"
https://us.driverscollection.com
https://drivers.eu/Printers/HP
https://drivers.eu/PC/HP
Close any popup that has "AD" in it. Download only official HP files. For laptops and desktops, the download filename will start with the two letters SP and have the form
SP153214.exe -or-
SP96885.exe etc.
Printer download will have the name or model of the printer in the filename.

hello,
thank you for your answer.
i tried in the modded bios saving the modifications after changing slightly the time informations and it didn't change nothing about the video configurations...
I tried downloading and installing the amd driver that you referenced, but each time i installed it, i had a bsod with "time failure in the atikmdpag.sys file"...(during installation).
looking on the web for a solution at my problem, i read that the best mean is an hardware modification on the motherboard...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rtz8Mp3-sAw&t=6s
therefore i hoped that there is another solution to switch the graphics on my laptop.
Thank you in advance for your answer.
