I had recently bought this hp omen 15 it was working good for a while on battery until now when i press the power button it lights up for a few seconds and then shutdowns down, so now i have to plug it in to turn it on and then it says that the battery is 100% charged.
If i unplug the charger ,the laptop shutdowns down after a few seconds or a minute if i'm on the desktop, and if i open up a program like chrome it almost turns off immediately.
I have checked the battery health and it's 100% as it's new.
So now i'm stuck with the laptop working only when plugged in. i checked the bios version/date and it says AMI F.28, 7/11/2023 maybe this helps?
Anyway I hope you can help me here and THANKS.

Hi @bybmed,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are facing an issue with your Laptop battery.
Follow the below steps to perform the battery Test.
1) Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
2) Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu is displayed, press the f2 key.
3) On the main menu, click Component Tests.
4) On the Component Tests menu, click Power, Battery, and then click Run once. The battery Test begins.
If the battery test fail, there is an issue with the battery and needs to be replaced.
If the battery test pass, update the BIOS for your PC by clicking on the link.
Make sure you keep only the charger plugged in while updating the BIOS for your PC.
Click on the + sign next to BIOS and then download the file.
Open the file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
If the issue still persists, refer to the steps on this link to further troubleshoot and let me know if that resolves the issue.
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a great day ahead!
