i want to upgrade my hp 14-dq0005dx with a sata hard drive but it doesnt come with the wire how do upgrade

Notebooks with the 64 GB eMMC drives cannot be upgraded.

 

You can't add a 2.5" drive or M.2 SSD in your notebook.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide HP 14 Laptop PC

 

They were not offered in the model series, and there are no parts/part numbers listed in chapter 3 of the service manual to add one.

 

Let's say theoretically that you managed to install a 2.5" drive.

 

The notebook will not boot from it. 

 

That assumes that if there is a SATA port on the motherboard that it is enabled.

 

It will only boot from the 64 GB eMMC drive.

Can't you use the BIOS for what?

 

You can't upgrade the drive.
