I understand you are facing an issue with your Victus by HP 15.6-inch Gaming Laptop is showing 0% charge and not charging despite being connected to a power source, it indicates a potential issue with the battery, charger, or the internal charging circuitry. Follow these steps to troubleshoot:
1. Check the Charger and Connection
- Inspect the charger: Ensure the charger is an HP-certified charger compatible with your laptop model.
- Check for damage: Look for any frayed cables or bent pins.
- Secure connection: Verify that the charger is firmly connected to the laptop and power outlet.
- Try a different outlet: Ensure the power outlet is functioning by testing with another device.
2. Reset the Battery
- Unplug the charger and remove any connected peripherals.
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to discharge residual power.
- Plug the charger back in and attempt to power on the laptop.
3. Check for LED Indicators
- A solid charging light (usually white or amber) near the charging port indicates the charger is detected.
- If the light is off or blinking, there may be a hardware issue.
4. Run Battery Diagnostics
- Power on the laptop and press F2 repeatedly to enter the HP UEFI Diagnostics Tool.
