Hi,
Ok, try the following.
Boot from the Rescue CD again, select Repair Your Computer and choose the Command Prompt. When this loads, enter the following commands and hit enter after each one - include spaces as shown.
Bootrec.exe
bcdedit /export C:\BCD_Backup
c:
cd boot
attrib bcd -s -h -r
ren c:\boot\bcd bcd.old
bootrec /RebuildBcd
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
Remove the Rescue CD and try rebooting the notebook.
Regards,
DP-K

Hello All,
I just wanted to thank David as well. I went through many options, before I found this website. I tried David's solution, and booya! It was fixed. Thank you very much for your efforts, and for helping others out.
I love the computer community. I truly do!

I can help you with that, but follow David's instructions after your machine boots to the repair DVD.
With the computer "ON" (booted up) open the DVD drawer, leave it open and shut down.
Insert your disc and close the drawer.
Boot up and start immediately tapping the f9 key, you may stop when you get a message on the bottom left of the screen that says change boot order or something to that effect.
Use your arrow and enter keys to select to boot from Internal DVD/CD ROM and press enter.
Ay this point you may be confronted to press any key to continue to boot, continue to do so.
That's it
