From my findings, these errors are caused by incompatible software to the BIOS, as this would need to be fix by HP when they release the updated version of the HP Software Framework or BIOS firmware.

I am getting Event ID 5 on an EliteBook 8440p:
2012/01/18 01:41:49.684|0000025C|Error |[CaslWmi]CommandFolio::A{hpCasl.enReturnCode(int&)}|Error 0xe_BIOS_INVALID_COMMAND_TYPE from BIOS WMI call Read/2Eh while getting Folio state
I've updated the BIOS to F.20 and HP Software Framework to 4.1.13.1. The problem persists.
The error occurs when running HP Support Assistant. Updating to version 6.1.12.1 does not have any effect.
