HP Omen 15-DH0022nf (HP Omen 15T 2019 RTX 2070)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've been trying to do a factory reset on my HP Omen 15 (2019) again, due to big performance issues (which I've only recently narrowed down to a certain Windows 10 Update, which many people say is faulty, thankfully it can just be uninstalled).

But I've been unable to do so for reasons I'll explain below

Although everything (presumably) downloads onto the USB drive just fine. The whole factory reinstallation process either gets stuck on the "Software is being installed" screen, with the 2 bars that fill up endlessly with no progress. Or the recovery attempt just fails altogether after a while. (I tested this by leaving the computer to run and do the recovery overnight)

EDIT: Took a picture of this, the 2 bars fill up with seemingly no progress whatsoever.

I've formatted the USB multiple times, and tried again numerous times. I even cleaned it using Diskpart (Selected the USB, cleaned, converted to GPT, created a new primary partition, and formatted) to make sure the USB flash drive itself is not the problem.

I also asked my ISP about this issue, just to make sure they're not  potentially blocking the downloading/installation of the HP Recovery image onto the USB due to high bandwidth usage, but they say that's not the case.

I really don't know what to do anymore. Is there a solution to this issue?

I just have one last question, is a stable internet connection required for the HP Cloud Recovery Tool?

@TheUltraCube Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are unable to perform the HP cloud recovery.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

An internet connection is required for the HP cloud recovery tool.

In that case, you will have to order a recovery media: Click here for steps.

Or you may also attempt to download the same using the steps on this link: click here

Or you can contact our phone support and order a recovery media.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
