As a rule, does the new Cloud Recovery system make it no longer necessary to create a USB recovery drive to have on hand in case it is necessary in the future? Because you can always download and make a USB drive from another computer if you need it?
Related, does the Cloud Recovery image change over time, to include various updated elements? (In that case, you would be better off not making a USB recovery drive until you need it?) Or does it always take you all the way back to the way your system was when you bought it? (In which case, it wouldn't hurt to make a USB drive now to have on hand just in case, since it will always be the same.)
Thanks, community!

Hi:
The cloud recovery tool will reinstall the original version of W10, the drivers and the software that came with your notebook.
It does not get updated with any new software.
I would make one to have on hand now, because you never know if HP will discontinue this program in the future.

It is up to you, internet is available for you to download any time, but your USB may get lost in jungle of your house or corrupted after few years.
Normally no, images will stay the same.
Regards.
