La solution est de "Désactiver" le service en question. Autrement, même si vous stoppez le process. Il se relance automatiquement à chaque réveil du PC.

Services.msc

"HP Audio Analytics service"  --> Proprieties --> Disabled

En attendant que HP trouve la solution.

Celle-ci fonctionne parfaitement et ne retire aucune fonctionnalités "Hotkey"

HP ProBook 450 15.6 inch G9 Notebook PC - same issue.

Unsuccessfully tired reinstalling, rebooting.

Installed previous version.

Interestingly if you kill this task - the volume keys etc still work. So what does this software actually do??? So perhaps easiest solution is to just disable the service under the services tab of task manager.

Same issue on HP ZBook Fury 16 G9 Mobile. Same service is constantly using around 10% of the CPU since a few days.

I see there was a driver update through Windows Update on 11-08-2023 named "HP Development Company LP - Software Component - 8.10.28.1" in drivers update history.

Apparently it is the HP Hotkey Service driver, since in Device Manager, under Software Components, the HP LAN/WLAN/WWAN Switching and Hotkey Service matches the driver version (8.10.28.1) and update date in events tab.

So it seems this driver update has triggered this CPU usage behaviour.

For me it is a HP EliteBook 840 G7 (177B3EA#UUZ)

the same problem on my HP EliteBook 850 G7 Notebook PC

Same here with my Zbook 15 G4.

Very annoying, the service constantly gobbles up some 14-18% of CPU, has very high power usage and keep the fans spinning pretty audibly.

Launching the Task Manager as admin, I first killed the service and then disabled it completely together with the associated HP LAN/WLAN/WWAN Switching UWP Service. Solved? Nope: at every restart of the computer, the HP Hotkey UWP Service is back in action in spite of the fact that the HP Hotkey UWP Service is still disabled!

Thank you HP for providing a fix a.s.a.p.

I have downloaded and run the exe file 'sp139275.exe' mentioned here Update HP Hotkey UWP Service - HP Support Community - 8356241

I'm still evaluating if this has solved the problem,  but it seems to have made a change. Others, could you please verify?

Edit: No, HP Hotkey UWP Service is back again with high CPU usage 😕

Edit: In task manager, under the top process 'HP Hotkey UWP Service', there's a sub-process 'HP Audio Analytics Service' listed. Going by that, I uninstalled HP Audio Software App from the Settings app. Immediately I saw that CPU usage was reduced that listing no longer appears. Going by this it seems that issue is in HP Audio service masquerading as HP Hotkey UWP service!

I have had the same issue. I am seeing that it is using 20-30% CPU with 1MB RAM Usage.
I have an HP EliteBook 840 G3
