There is a known issue/conflict with 3D Driveguard and the 2017-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for amd64-based Systems (KB4048955). The forum is filled with threads with the same issue.
HP is aware of the conflict with the Update and 3D Driveguard..working on a solution.

Everyone,
I can confirm that this issue also affects my two Envy x360 m6-w103dx computers when updated to the Fall Creators update and/or the 11-2017 1609 cumulative update.

I will try it as soon as I can, and also I will try to see if the HP Support Assistant report this as upgrade.
Thank you!
Cheers!

I didn't see anything happen, either, but there was no message when I shut down and restarted my computer. If you didn't get the message then we are at the same point, and I hope the problem is solved for the both of us.
