Microsoft Windows 11

The support site will not add my HP Spectre laptop because it says I have an invalid serial number.   I therefore cannot receive the support I need.  I have not gotten the format wrong or switched the 0 and O or 1 and I.   I am copy and pasting directly from the HP utility on my laptop.   Also, I would like the 1-800 number for tech support.   I fail to see why it's being kept secret.   Any help appreciated.

Welcome to the HP English Community --

HP Support accepts online case submission requests for HP products still in Warranty.

The online submission process is meant to help protect both Company and customer.

True - HP Support does not free-post phone numbers.

If you do find a phone number, if you are tricked into providing your phone number so an "agent" can call you back, if you are suddenly bombarded with a Chat request that includes a "Call us" number, it is not HP.  Not.

You do not need anti-hacking software, your computer is not full of bugs, and you do not need to pay for drivers.

True - if the product is a printer or a computer and the HP database shows the product to be out of Warranty, then yes, you might see a message that suggests the serial number is wrong.     Should you have proof of Warranty and cannot submit your case request, please let us know and we will forward a request for an assist.

After the case request is accepted, contact information is displayed, including a phone number you can use in your region.  At that point, you can call in to HP, wait in the queue, and speak with an HP representative.

Online Case Submission to HP Support is available to those whose devices registered and are still in Warranty.

Some (Most) regions display phone / chat contact information only after the case is submitted online.

Not every issue is covered under the standard Hardware Warranty.  Purchased Care Pack Warranties differ by contract.

HP is not a "general" repair facility: Requests for out-of-warranty repairs are usually not accepted.

If the problem is hardware, if your device is in Warranty, if your device is Registered, and you cannot submit your case to Support, let us know and we will forward a request.
