Product: HP ENVY x360 13.3 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 13-bf0000 (552D4AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

After repairing the Envy 13 x360 laptop, I wiped the drive, installed a clean Windows, also all the drivers from the HP Support site. My problem is that the special HP hotkey (F12, three diamonds) that used to bring up the "HP Command Center" dialog does not work. I saw on the forums that someone already tried to solve this, but nothing.
Is there a package I should install?

It sounds like you've done some thorough troubleshooting already. If reinstalling the drivers didn't resolve the issue, there might be a couple of other things you could try.

 

  • BIOS Update: Sometimes, certain functionalities tied to hotkeys can be dependent on the BIOS version. Check if there's a BIOS update available for your Envy 13 x360 laptop on the HP support website. If there is, download and install it following the provided instructions.
  • HP System Event Utility: Some HP laptops rely on the HP System Event Utility to manage special function keys. Ensure that you have this utility installed. You can typically find it on the HP support website under the drivers section for your specific laptop model.
  • Check for Other HP Utilities: In addition to the HP System Event Utility, there might be other HP utilities related to function keys or hotkeys. Check the HP support website for any additional software that might be necessary for managing hotkeys on your laptop.

 

By going through these steps, you should hopefully be able to resolve the issue with the special HP hotkey not working on your Envy 13 x360 laptop.
