HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC a4a93ua#aba Windows 7, My screen cracked when it was dropped to the ground, I hooked it up to my desktop mmonitor via the 15 pin monitor cord. Monitor won't register unless we're in safe mode. Is there a key prompt to use? Function key prompt didn't work. on this model the screen button is f4.

Hi,
Do you get any display on your external monitor if you press f4 once, then press the right arrow once and hit enter?
