In the office I used to connect my laptop to a docking station with external monitor, mouse and keypad. When I connect my new laptop (windows 11) to the docking station the external keypad and mouse are working properly but the external monitor just shows a black screen.

Hi @tripleaplus

That depends if the laptop model you bought, if it has the USB-C port compatible with DisplayPort, if it does not, you cannot see the image on an external monitor.

What model do you have?

There are two USB-C ports compatible with DisplayPort, try to switch the ports.

Hi Resistencia, sorry for delay but I was out for a job. I tried both USB C port but same result. For me it is strange that when I start up, the screen appears on the monitor for a few seconds and then it turns black. The monitor remains awake but is showing only a cursor .
