HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible PC 14-dy0000 (23S36AV)

Hi, Hope someone can point me in the right direction to fix my issue.

I have a HP Pavilion x360 Convertible, The touchpad works fine for a while then after starting up stops working and when I try to diagnose the issue, the laptop does not recognise that it has a touch pad so cannot fix it or update drivers etc.

I can use an external mouse ok so I use this while the touch pad is not working. The strange thing is that every time the laptop gets an update then the touch pad works again for some time, then it will fail again at a point in the near future and only work again after the next update.

Any ideas to a fix would be greatly appreciated.
