Product: HP Spectre x360 13.5 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-ef0000 (3Y838AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Purchased a brand new HP 2-1 lap top which came with the L93571-B23 mpp 2.0 HP tilt pen. I have spent numerous hours on trying to get this pen to work, no matter what I try it is not recognized by the laptop and it has zero functionality.

Steps tried:

- Its fully charged, white ring glowing

- Had magnetically attached to screen (some say this is a pairing mechanism)

- Changed pen tips and tried to really insert firm (some say this fixes things)

- Opened a case with HP - no response

- There are no drivers downloadable... did try the (suggested in other posts) sp80343.exe from hp... no luck

- HP pen Control app v2.0.0.21 works with pen and allows to change pen button settings but pen still doesn't work

-HP pen control from MS store is v3.0.51.o and it error saying NOT COMPATIBLE with this pc

 

At this point I am thinking it just must be a faulty pen???
Anyone have any other thoughts or things to try?
