Hi @jatin34,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP 15-F2000 Laptop running Windows 11 is having trouble connecting to a smart TV, there are several potential solutions to consider. Here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Ensure Both Devices are on the Same Network

Make sure both your laptop and the smart TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Casting typically requires both devices to be on the same local network.

2. Update Drivers and Software

Outdated drivers and software can cause connectivity issues. Ensure that your laptop's network drivers and display drivers are up-to-date.

Update Network Drivers:

  1. Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand the Network adapters section.
  3. Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter and select Update driver.
  4. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Update Display Drivers:

  1. In Device Manager, expand the Display adapters section.
  2. Right-click your display adapter and select Update driver.
  3. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

3. Enable Network Discovery and File Sharing

Network discovery and file sharing need to be enabled for casting to work.

  1. Open Settings and go to Network & Internet.
  2. Click on Advanced network settings.
  3. Under Network and Sharing Center, select Change advanced sharing settings.
  4. Turn on Network discovery and File and printer sharing.

4. Use the Connect App on Windows 11

Windows 11 has a built-in app called "Connect" for wireless display connections.

  1. Press Win + K to open the Connect sidebar.
  2. If your TV appears in the list, select it to start casting.

5. Check Smart TV Settings

Ensure that the casting feature (such as Miracast, Screen Mirroring, or Chromecast, depending on your TV) is enabled on your smart TV. Refer to your TV’s manual for specific instructions.

6. Troubleshoot the Connection

If the above steps don't work, try the following:

  • Restart both devices: Turn off your laptop and TV, then turn them back on.
  • Reset network settings: On your laptop, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network reset.
  • Use an HDMI cable: If wireless casting doesn't work, you can connect your laptop to the TV using an HDMI cable as an alternative.

7. Disable VPN and Firewall Temporarily

Sometimes, VPNs or firewalls can block casting. Temporarily disable them to see if that resolves the issue.

8. Check for Windows Updates

Ensure your Windows 11 system is fully updated.

  1. Go to Settings > Windows Update.
  2. Click on Check for updates and install any available updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
