HP Envy x360 14 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-fa-0000 (8Z8P7AV)

When playing a content with sound on bluetooth device, a BSOD appears. An audio or video file from local storage, YouTube or a podcast from Web - everything causes a blue screen. At the same time, the bluetooth headphones connected normally, there are no errors in the device manager. This happens with BT headphones of any manufacturer. The Bluetooth mouse works fine. I disconnected the mouse, turned off the Wi-Fi, left only the headphones and still a blue screen when the sound starts playing. I installed older drivers, it did not help. I can’t say exactly when it started, maybe after some kind of update, but I also reinstalled the system, that did not help. How to solve the problem?

Thank you for advice, but I have already did this with no result. Nevertheless the problem have been solved by installing the latest AUDIO drivers - sp154952. That's all, now headsets and earphones are working flawlessly.

Software for your system is here

Install both of these, dated Aug 2024

Wifi https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp153501-154000/sp153983.exe

If your system is not too old, you may have cloud recovery

HP Cloud Recovery Tool (Windows 10 and 11)
