Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I recently was given this laptop by a friend. It's relatively old but appears to function well and the battery is still good. However I noticed that the WiFi module has an issue. When ever the laptop is booted up, there is a breif error screen shown at Bios screen saying " This wireless module is not supported so has been disabled error702". I know for a fact that this laptop has not been tampered with at all so no parts inside have been changed. I was told that the WiFi was working when it was newer but stopped a few years back and dont know why.

The WiFi module itself i believe is a combo with bluetooth. The part itself has a model number of 'RALINK RT3592BC8' which was the one that was fitted from the factory. I have removed the module and cleaned the terminals but no luck.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I am running windows 10 and everything else is working just fine!

Thanks
